Character

The opaque honeycomb pleated blind DUETTE® EOS® FIXÉ ELAN PEARL TOPAR® BB24 is part of the PEARL TOPAR® range and is therefore particularly easy to care for.

This pleated blind has a high shine and a cotton texture. It is available in the following solid metallic shades: basalt, cream white, gray, jade green, jasper, pearl gray, pearl white, and white.

The pleated profile is available in the following colors: aluminum [brushed], anthracite [glossy], dark brown [matt], magnolia [matt], black [matt], silver [glossy] and white [matt].

A view to the outside is impossible. The pleated blind therefore offers strong privacy during the day. At night, you're only moderately protected.
The darkening is medium.

The acoustics/sound absorption is very good with 4 out of 5 stars.

The heat blocking in summer is at the top end with A+.
The thermal insulation in winter is in the medium range with A.

The lightfastness is a good 6-7.

The pleated fabric is antistatic, suitable for damp rooms, water-repellent, and washable. It can also be used at computer workstations.

Pleated fabric Topar®

Pleated blinds with the Topar® surface treatment are durable, robust, and comfortable. They are dirt- and water-repellent, significantly reducing the fabric's ability to retain moisture. The reflective, colored coating on the back increases solar and light reflection, keeping the heat out and the room cooler. The fabrics retain their color and effect even on the side facing away from the room, and do not have an obtrusive silver sheen. Thus, pleated blinds with Topar® also offer an attractive appearance from the outside. Fabrics with Topar® are also particularly quick and convenient to clean. Easier cleaning and longer cleaning intervals increase their service life.

Installing your new pleated blind is extremely easy with the included installation instructions and appropriate installation aids.

The pleated blinds’ tension feet are screwed onto the window frame.

Wide (standard) or narrow mounting feet (pleated blind width max. 128cm) can be selected.

Feet glued into frame

The pleated blind's tensioning feet are glued to the window frame. The pleated blind's area must not exceed 2m2 .

Adhesive mounting is only possible with the wide pleated feet.

Adhesive mounting only works on plastic window frames. Adhesive mounting on wooden frames doesn't work. Adhesive mounting on aluminum frames may work, but we can't guarantee it. In this case, we recommend screw mounting.

The wide clamping feet are suitable for window sills that are at least 15 mm deep. The wide clamping feet can be screwed or glued.

For pleated blinds with a width of 128cm or more, the wide tension feet must be selected.

Clamping feet narrow

The narrow clamping feet are suitable for window sills between 7 mm and 15 mm deep. These clamping feet are also suitable for slightly beveled window sills. Only screw mounting is possible.

The maximum pleated width for narrow tension feet is 128cm.

Washing instructions

This pleated blind is washable.
However, we recommend that you clean the pleated blinds as infrequently as possible.

Have you tried using a damp cloth or a clean feather duster?

This may be sufficient. Please also avoid using too much mild detergent when cleaning.

Washing instructions

  1. Pull the pleated blinds together at the window into a package.
  2. Remove the pleated blind from the fasteners.
  3. Soak the pleated blind in the bathtub in 30°C warm (hand-warm) water with gentle detergent.
  4. After 15 minutes of soaking, unfold the pleated blind.
    For DUETTE® fabrics, drain water from the honeycombs immediately.
  5. Wash with even movements in the lye.
  6. Lift it out of the lye by the rail and rinse thoroughly on both sides with the hand shower.
    Caution: Lift DUETTE® fabrics out of the water at an angle using both hands so that the water can drain out of the combs immediately. Please also rinse the inside of the combs.
  7. Push the pleated blinds together again into a package and squeeze it out well.
  8. Hang back into the supports while still damp and closed.
  9. Allow to dry in the package for at least 12 hours.
    While drying, open and close the pleated blind several times.
    Important: Do not iron, the pleating is permanent from the factory.
