Character
The white string curtains feature threads ranging from light beige to white (see images for details). Unlike cheaper suppliers, our string curtains are knotted and can therefore be shortened at any point in width and length with household scissors without fraying.
The ORIENTA is also available in other colors available available.
Fly curtain / insect curtain
In addition to their classic room décor, string curtains can also be used as functional fly screens/insect screens. These functions are especially popular in spring, summer, and fall. Please ensure that the fly screen is wide enough to prevent flies and insects from finding gaps to enter your rooms.
door curtain
The ORIENTA can also be used as a door curtain. On the back, there's a full-width hem for a curtain rod. The rod can accommodate a diameter of up to 2 cm. If you prefer this hanging method, you can order the curtain without gliders.

Curtain gliders & stoppers
The curtain is equipped with the popular Clic gliders. These can be easily clicked into the curtain rail at any desired location.
You can choose between the Swiss MAXI and Swiss MINI gliders. Approximately 99% of curtains in use in Switzerland are made of Swiss MAXI. If you are unsure about the correct gliders based on the description, you can determine with the help of Swiss coins or Order free test gliders here.
Each curtain comes with a few spare gliders and two curtain stoppers. These stoppers can be used to close the openings in the curtain track or to secure the curtains in any desired location on the track.
The Clic gliders and the curtain stoppers are both products of the Swiss quality manufacturer “Hinno”.

Without gliders
The string curtain is delivered "flat," meaning it has no wrinkles or waves. A tab strip is sewn onto the back, to which any hook gliders or hooks can be attached.
In addition, there is an opening on the back from left to right through which a Curtain rail (Must be ordered separately) can be pushed.

To protect the curtain, we recommend removing the gliders before washing. If the gliders are sewn onto the curtain, it's best to place them in a laundry bag or pillowcase. Alternatively, you can also cover the entire curtain in a duvet cover. Make sure the covers don't stain. We're happy to help if you have any questions.
