BB24 How to measure pleated blind width correctly (measuring instructions for pleated blinds/folding blinds)
BB24 How to measure pleated blind width correctly
- measuring tool
The easiest way to measure the correct pleated width is with a tape measure (alternatively with a double meter). - Measure pleated width
Measure the distance A. (see illustration) as close as possible to the window pane. - Calculate pleated width
To ensure that the pleated blind has sufficient space between the window frame, subtract approximately 4mm from the resulting measurement and enter the result in the online shop under "Width".

BB24 How to measure pleated blind height correctly (measuring instructions for pleated blinds/folding blinds)
BB24 How to measure pleated blind height correctly
- Measure pleat height
Measure the distance B. in the middle of the inside of the window frame (C. in figure). - Order pleated blinds
Enter the measured pleated blind height in the "Height" field in the online shop.
Good to know
Minimum size inside of the window frame (C. in figure)
The inside of the window frame (C in the illustration) must be at least 18mm wide to install the BB24 pleated blind. For honeycomb pleated blinds, 23mm is optimal.
Large/high/wide windows
Measure the distances A and B at 2-3 points and then use the smallest measurement result obtained.
Window frames / rubber seals
Always measure the window frame and not the rubber seals.
How can you measure as accurately as possible?
First, measure a portion of the distance (e.g., from the left to the center) and mark the measured distance with a pencil. Then, measure the distance from the right to the mark and add the two measurements together. This will give you the most accurate total width.
What to do if the measurement was incorrect?
Pleated blind is too high: You can correct this by making the pleated cord a little shorter.
Pleated blind is not high enough: You can correct this by making the pleated cord a little longer.
Pleated blind is not wide enough: Unfortunately, it is not possible to widen a pleated blind.
Pleated blind is too wide: This can be corrected later. Please request a quote.

Feet screwed into frame
The pleated blinds’ tension feet are screwed onto the window frame.
Wide (standard) or narrow mounting feet (pleated blind width max. 128cm) can be selected.
- Production costs: $ (very low)
Feet glued into frame
The pleated blind's tensioning feet are glued to the window frame. The pleated blind's area must not exceed 2m2 .
Adhesive mounting is only possible with the wide pleated feet.
Adhesive mounting only works on plastic window frames. Adhesive mounting on wooden frames doesn't work. Adhesive mounting on aluminum frames may work, but we can't guarantee it. In this case, we recommend screw mounting.
