Description
The curtain LONDON BLOOMSBURY complements our LONDON The range is available in 31 colors. The various shades of gray, beige, and brown are timeless and, thanks to their subtle color gradations, can be perfectly matched to your interior. The blackout curtain offers many advantages: it provides XNUMX/XNUMX privacy, significantly darkens rooms, and simultaneously serves as a stylistic element.
The curtain fabric has a slight sheen and a very fine texture. The curtain is opaque by day and night, blocking approximately 85% of light (or 100% for that matter). The darker the fabric, the more effective the darkening effect.
LONDON BLOOMSBURY belongs to the category of dim-out curtains. These have a similar blackout effect to black-out hotel curtains. However, they are not plasticized on the back. The advantages of this are that the back of the curtain also shines in the desired color, the curtains are less stiff, and form more attractive waves.
We recommend ordering a free fabric sample of your desired fabric and performing the flashlight test. It works as follows: Turn on a flashlight and hold it behind the fabric – you'll see how the fabric behaves under strong light. If you want 100% blackout, we recommend our blackout curtains.

Curtain measuring devices
The easiest way to determine the correct curtain height is with a standard double meter, the free vorhangbox-Curtain measuring tape or one Laser measuring device measure up.
Curtain height
Measure from the bottom edge of the curtain rail (A in the illustration) to the floor or windowsill (B in the illustration). Depending on your personal preference, add or subtract a few centimeters from the resulting measurement (C in the illustration):
- Minus 2cm: The curtain hangs approx. 1-2cm above the floor (recommendation).
- Minus 1cm: The curtain stands on the floor.
- Plus 5cm to plus 15cm: The curtain is on the floor.
Enter the value you receive in the “Height/Curtain Height” field when ordering the curtain.
Tip 1: Floors, curtain boards, and ceilings aren't always completely level. Be sure to measure the height in several places.
Tip 2: If you add night or blackout curtains to day curtains, please ensure that the day curtains are about 0.5 cm less high so that they do not show through at the bottom.
Curtain width
Measure the distance you want the curtains to cover.
If the window on the left and/or right is not directly connected to a side wall, the curtain should be at least 20cm wider than the window on each side.
If you want one pair of curtains per window, halve the measured distance by two and order two curtains of that length.
Round the measurement you receive up to the next larger available width and select that.
Amount of substance: You measure the distance to be covered and we automatically calculate how much fabric is needed.
